Staff Pharmacist
The Staff Pharmacist leads pharmaceutical care services including development, implementation, and evaluation of processes and procedures designed to promote safe, effective, and efficient methods of compounding and dispensing in the pharmacy. Responsible for monitoring and managing medication therapy for all patients in the facility collaborating as appropriate with other members of the healthcare team. Develops and maintains policies and procedures of the pharmacy in compliance with CDC, FDA, ISMP, and Nebraska State regulations. Provides general direction with respect to quality assurance for products dispensed from the pharmacy.
EDUCATION:
• Graduate with a PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
EXPERIENCE:
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience (minimum 3 years)
• Experience in pharmacy management preferred
LICENSURE:
Must have current license to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Nebraska
Maintenance of BLS every two years
