Dear Parents:
Thank you all for the wonderful gifts, candies, cookies and goodies you brought into the daycare. We enjoyed all the treats and gifts. Even though it is very cold it is very nice to have the snow and the moisture when it melts. It was so nice to have Alisha Johnston and Kylie Croup back at the daycare for the holiday break. The staff and children enjoyed them so much. They will be back for the summer. Alisha and Tonya were the creators of the coat room. Great job and thanks to them.
WINTER
PROGRAM
Our Winter Program was a great success. The children were wonderful and entertaining. We went up to GOCH chapel on Monday January 22nd and presented our program for the residents. The children enjoy doing it and the residents always enjoy a visit from the children. Thank you so much for the cookies everyone brought. They were delicious. A special thank you to the E-Free church for allowing us the use of their church, Pastor Gaar and the church staff for their help in setting up for the program. Without the generosity of the E-Free church we would not be able to have our programs.
TOY
POLICY
Children may bring toys to daycare and share with their class during Show and Share Time. The daycare will not be responsible for any toys which are lost or broken.
PRESCHOOL
SCHEDULING
We at the preschool try to follow the Perkins County School System’s schedule as much as possible. If there is a late start due to bad weather there will not be any preschool, if Perkins County School deems it necessary to cancel school there will not be any preschool. This time will be made up at a later date.
HAPPY
BIRTHDAY!!!!
We celebrated 3 birthdays in January. Natasha Thomas was 9 years old on the 6th, Carson Thelander was 6 years old on the 17th, and Alisa Overstreet was 7 years old on the 26th. We have 2 birthdays to celebrate in February. Katie McCannon’s birthday is on the 15th and Aubrey Steinwart will be 4 years old on the 21st. Happy Birthday to all of you.
BOOK
ORDERS
Book orders are due by Thursday, February 8th. Please return order blank with check or money order. Please do not send cash. Scholastic Books does not accept cash payment.
VALENTINE
EXCHANGE
The daycare will have a Valentine Exchange on Wednesday, February 14th. You may have your child do valentines for their age group or for everyone. It is your choice. Please have valentines at the daycare by Monday, February 12th. Valentine lists are attached. There are extras available if you should need one.
CHILDREN’S
DENTAL HEALTH MONTH
February is Children’s Dental Health Month. DeAnna Schulze from Dr. Swan’s office will be visiting the daycare to discuss with the children good oral health. She will visit us on Thursday, February 22nd and Friday February 23rd.
APPROPRIATE CLOTHING
Weather permitting, the children would like to play outside. Please make sure your child has appropriate clothing so they may play outside. This includes a hat, gloves, or mittens, and a warm coat. Snow boots and snow pants are great if there is snow on the ground. If they don't have snow pants please send dry socks and pants for them to change into when finished playing. Outside play is an important part of a child's day.
